This role would be directly reporting to Plant Operation Manager. The candidate will be responsible for overall Combined Cycle Power
Plant/equipment performance monitoring on regular basis to maintain optimum operation of power plant & equipment’s of the assigned sites.
He / She would be responsible for generating performance & operational reports on daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plant & Equipment Performance Monitoring and Optimum Operation of Power Plant.
• Proactive identification of performance related issues.
• On time generating multiple performance reports related to Production, availability, and heat rate.
• Analysis of operational data for conclusive performance actions.
• Provides required coordination and guidance to efficiently operate all site equipment and systems.
• Acts to meet objectives set by Operations Manager consistent with achieving maximum plant efficiency in the most safe, reliable, economical, and environmentally safe manner.
• Assists Operations Manager in all aspects of plant operations & performance matters.
• Coordinates with the Operations Manager to oversee and schedule all plant operations to ensure Combined Cycle Power Plant is operated in a manner consistent with the Facility Manager requirements.
• Assists in the development and recording of operations and maintenance data.
• Fuel sampling and report analysis as per OEM specifications. Participate in the plant daily morning meeting giving input regarding plant operational needs, maintaining meeting MOMs and coordination with Team Lead O&M.
• Assist Operation Manager in PPA understanding from Performance Perspective.
• Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by Operations Manager.

Required Qualifications

• B.E/B.Sc. in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering from a reputed university (Recognized by Pakistan Engineering Council & Higher Education Commission).
• Strong experience in Operations and Maintenance of Gas Turbine based combined cycle power plant.
• Minimum two years hand on experience as Performance Engineer in performance testing/evaluation, monitoring and analysis of gas turbine based combined cycle power plant equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Desired Characteristics

• Masters Degree in Thermal Power Engineering will be preferred.
• Proficient in data analysis using MS Excel, use of advanced logical formulas is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills •
• Able to develop trends of historical data and interpret the results / outcome.
• Ability to read and understand OEM Manuals and P&ID’s.
• Understand PTC-46 and able to conduct performance test as and when required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.
• Flexibility to travel to support performance monitoring, analysis and improvement activities at sister GE O&M site
