Craftech Digital is hiring for Book Formatter & Publisher. This position is for night shift (on-site).

Responsibilities:

  • Applying industry-standard formatting for print and eBooks.
  • Using proper typography and stylistic elements (fonts, margins, spacing).
  • Formatting elements like chapters, headings, page numbers, and quotations.
  • Meticulously checking for formatting errors and inconsistencies.
  • Ensuring the final product meets client specifications and design guidelines.
  • Overseeing the eBook formatting process for optimal presentation on different devices.
  • Converting the formatted eBooks into various digital formats (e.g., EPUB, MOBI).
  • Uploading the eBook to major online retailers and platforms (e.g., Kindle Direct Publishing, Barnes & Noble, Google Books, IngramSparks, Apple iBooks etc.)

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software: This includes programs like Adobe InDesign or Vellum for eBook formatting, and knowledge of Microsoft Word for working with manuscripts.
  • Understanding of typography and layout principles: This ensures the book is visually balanced and easy to read.
  • Familiarity with eBook and print formatting specifications: Knowing the specific requirements for different platforms like Kindle Direct Publishing Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Books, IngramSparks, Apple iBooks etc. is crucial.

Shift Timings: 9pm – 6am (Night)

Location: DHA Phase 7, Karachi

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
