We seek a diligent and experienced candidate to join our team at Al Sharqi Shipping, a leading freight forwarding company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling procurement operations in Pakistan and UAE, ensuring efficient acquisition of spare parts, warehouse necessities, and office supplies. This position is for our Karachi office.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist the Procurement Manager in purchasing goods or services for the organization ensuring quality at competitive price in a timely fashion.

.Potential new suppliers’ identification through research.

. Maintain stock level by developing strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods/services.

. Liaise with garage-based employees to determine their products/service’s needs.

. Monitor business trends and availability of products for paying best price procuring goods/services without any sacrifice to quality/delivery times.

. Relationship building with suppliers for better price negotiation and updating the same to Procurement Manager.

. Ad hoc tasks assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.

· Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.

· Sound knowledge of procurement practices and principles.

· Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective supplier relationships.

· Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Familiarity with procurement software and tools is an advantage.
