Position: Civic Engagement Specialist

Place of Posting: HANDS DO Jacobabad

Reporting Line: COP/HOD WASH

Qualification: Master’s in social science / Management Science

Experience: At least five years’ experience in project management and working in the development sector relatively

Skills required: Integrated Skills

Description:

• Facilitate capacity building of staff, School, Students local community, and CSOs on urban WASH interventions and smooth implementation of activities.
• Facilitate community mobilization, meetings, and training during community-led urban sanitation activities
• Sensitization of community group on ownership of WASH infrastructure and ensuring to carry on Operation and maintenance training.
• Submission of weekly, quarterly, and annual reports of respective assignments.
• Establish good working relationships with the staff and other departments.
• Support the successful implementation of the Social and Behavioral Change Communication (BCC) strategy in the Urban WASH program
• Support the implementation of the program and foster partnerships with other actors to maximize research and practice opportunities
• Foster strategic alliances with key media platforms and material development service providers, as well as other government and non-governmental institutions
• Work closely with the Strategic Information team on performance monitoring and documentation of processes
• Support the District Project Manager in the development of tools and other materials needed for the assessment, BCC strategy and program development and implementation
• Support the implementation of assessments, formative and other research needed in the development and monitoring of the community-based strategies/approaches
• Provide timely reports, documents, and proposals as requested
• Review and refine documents/outputs produced by consultants and other contribute to the development of technical resource materials, including guidelines, training manuals, curricula, and job aids, as necessary
• Participate in the identification, recruitment, and management of consultants for research, design of documents, and other relevant tasks, as necessary.
