POSITION PURPOSE

The Assistant Manager R&D will lead and oversee research and development activities within the agriculture sector, focusing on improving crop yield, sustainability, and the development of innovative agricultural products and technologies. The role requires a blend of scientific expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to drive R&D projects from conception through to implementation.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY

• Develop and implement R&D strategies aligned with company goals.
• Identify and prioritize research projects that address current and future agricultural challenges.
• Foster innovation by staying current with advancements in agricultural science and technology.
• Plan, execute, and monitor R&D projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams, including scientists, agronomists, and engineers.
• Manage project risks and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Promote a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry partners.
• Represent the company at conferences, workshops, and industry events.
• Build and maintain a network of external experts and stakeholders.
• Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Prepare and submit regulatory documents as required.
• Analyze research data and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of R&D activities and outcomes.
• Develop and manage the R&D budget.
• Optimize resource allocation and manage expenditures effectively.
