Eligibility Criteria:

• Preferably Business Graduate or Masters with strong academic background.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in wholesale banking preferably in a front-line role.

• Demonstrated understanding of the broader financial, legal and technical aspects of transactions.

Key Responsibilities: The person would be responsible to evaluate, pitch for and execute investment banking transactions by assisting the Senior Manager/Unit Head DCM in implementing transaction strategies to achieve successful closure.

1- Origination

Contribute positively to development and maintenance of a sustainable deal pipeline. Expected end results of this are gauged through:

Analyze the data provided by the analyst on various industries and/ or company (ies) and present the information in a manner which will help in decision making.

Prepare mandate letter and relevant internal documents which would form the basis for pitching for a transaction;

Ensure accuracy and validity of information as detailed in the pitch book and deal credential.

Assist in structuring transactions which entail giving input on transaction terms and conditions which will form part of the mandate letter.

2- Operations/Execution

To effectively contribute towards execution of deals and liaison with all internal and external stakeholders including relationship team, credit and risk, treasury, CAD, Senior Management, partners, investors, prospects, lawyers, regulators etc. The expected end results of this is gauged through:

Prepare marketing and due-diligence related documents including Information Memorandum/Prospectus/ Teaser Letters etc. which contains basic information on the company and the facility, credit analyses, risk matrix, financial models etc.

Develop Financial Model(s) and other deliverables as per the Mandate.

Maintain liaison with lawyers, Shariah advisors, regulators, technical, insurance and other independent advisors in order to complete the transaction related due diligence and documentation.

Assist the Senior Manager/Unit Head in ensuring that all relevant documents which form part of the due diligence process and conditions precedent are made available in a timely manner so as to ensure timely disbursement especially where UBL is the agent.

Analyze the information provided by the analyst to conduct comprehensive due diligence of the company to which facility is proposed to be provided in line with guidance provided by the Senior Manager.

Undertake day to day administrative activities involved in the successful management of the trustee/agency business. Ensuring all transaction/ company related information and documentation is disseminated to the Syndicate.

3- Compliance

Positively contribute towards maintenance and improvement in the control and process environment within DCM so as to ensure a satisfactory internal audit outcome.

Prepare transaction related invoicing and following up on recoveries of fees and expenses.

Maintain transaction specific accounting and documentary records.

Maintain follow-up on the outstanding issues and decision points with syndicate partners, lawyers, consultants and customer for transactions in which UBL is the Agent/Trustee.

Assist in preparation of annual credit line renewals, where applicable.
