How can you make a difference?
Under the direct supervision of the health specialist (polio team lead) and overall guidance from Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Polio in the country office, the incumbent shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Accurate information, data analysis, and documentation are timely made available to support situation analysis, sectoral input and reporting required for Provincial EOC and UNICEF. Ensure high quality data is collected and integrity of the data. Processing of data and coming up with reports on various projects.
- Develops appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products, collaborates in selecting appropriate data collection instruments or in designing instruments. Collects data from different sources including UCs / districts / provincial & federal level prepare.
- Appropriate spreadsheets and databases in collaboration with related partners through provincial M&E Task Team. Clean collate, summarize received data and prepare reports accordingly for the dissemination and facilitate data utilization at different levels jointly provincial communication Task Team.
- Supports the analysis of information using various statistical methods for the collective interpretation of polio program data. Develop and prepare information products to be used by the EOC and UNICEF. Enhance the utilization of EOC dashboard, oversee the missed children database maintained in data support center (DSC) and Poliolnfo for data analysis and presentation.
- Design and facilitate capacity development activities for Provincial & District level staff in monitoring and evaluation & Assists in designing various data collection projects and activities, Conceptualization of data and sharing this knowledge through effective presentation of the data output with the rest of your team.
- Participate in ongoing decisions concerning data collections, study design, methodology, and data analysis. Technical assistance is provided to the development and implementation of integrated Health & PEI strategies and approaches through participation and collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Work plan and objectives are effectively established and planned results are timely delivered through technical support and coordination. Assists the EOC, UNICEF and partner agencies in the development of survey instruments.
- Makes decisions on appropriate programme communication methodologies and approaches, technical resources required, quality and appropriateness of communication data produced, target audiences to be reached, as well as a time-frame for various activities, all of which will affect the achievement of country programme goals,
- Makes recommendations on operational strategies in the areas of participatory communication, social mobilization and behaviour change; on appropriate materials and media to reach target audiences; and on the way in which programme communication should be integrated into specific programmes/projects, Provides advice and analysis to Provincial Emergency Operations Centre personnel and partners.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have
- A university degree (Bachelors) in one of the following fields: social sciences, computer sciences, development, management studies, planning, evaluation, statistics or related fields
- Minimum of two years professional experience of working in the field of research and/or evaluation in the development sector.
- Experiences in health/polio and background / familiarity with emergency could be considered as an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in working with multiple stakeholders across government and civil society in the areas of research and evaluation.
- Fluency in English and Urdu is required.
- Knowledge of other local language is an asset.
