Assistant Air Freight Executive

Job Summary:

Sam Logistics (PVT.) Limited are seeking an experienced Assistant Air Freight Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the coordination and administration of air import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Assist in the preparation of air waybills, commercial invoices, and other shipping documents.
• - Prepares documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures. Reviews paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly. Maintains a database that tracks merchandise.
• - Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and airlines for shipment arrangements
• - Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely arrival and delivery
• - Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and issues
• - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as customs clearance and security procedures
• - Maintain accurate records and reports, including shipment logs and customs documentation
• - Collaborate with the team to resolve any shipment discrepancies or issues
• - Assist in the development of processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in freight management systems and MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

• - Knowledge of trade agreements
• - Familiarity with cargo insurance and claims procedures
• - Certification in air cargo operations or a related field
