Position Overview
As a Business Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the companys market presence, identifying untapped business opportunities, and nurturing long-term relationships with strategic partners. You will work closely with the senior leadership and cross-functional teams to craft and execute growth strategies aligned with Omni Academys vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Expansion & Lead Generation:
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, prospective clients, and partnership opportunities within target industries. Leverage digital tools, networking events, and professional platforms to generate qualified leads.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
Build and sustain strong relationships with both new and existing clients through consultative selling and regular engagement. Understand client pain points and recommend customized solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Proposal Development & Deal Closure:
Lead the end-to-end sales process—from initial outreach to proposal creation, negotiations, and successful deal closure. Prepare persuasive business cases, RFP responses, and tailored presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Strategic Input:
Partner with marketing, product, and service delivery teams to co-develop go-to-market strategies, client onboarding frameworks, and post-sale engagement plans. Provide market intelligence and feedback to shape future offerings.
- Reporting & CRM Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities using CRM tools. Regularly report on KPIs, pipeline health, and revenue projections to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline (Masters degree preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or strategic partnerships (experience in tech or consulting industry is a strong plus).
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition and revenue generation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a results-driven attitude.
