The ideal candidate to have a strong background in providing technical support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The IT Support Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing timely assistance to end-users. Should be organized, possess strong communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail.

  • Summers – 5 pm to 2 am PST.
  • Winters – 6 pm to 3 am PST.

Skills Required

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven 2-3 years’ experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role.
  • Certifications in relevant areas such as Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with a variety of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and MacOS.
  • Strong attention to detail, with an analytical approach and ability to work with diligence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong ethical and professional conduct.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential but not limited to:

  • Navigate the realms of Microsoft Server & Active Directory Management.
  • Remote Desktop Configurations & Management.
  • SharePoint Management and end-user configurations.
  • Must have experience with fine-tuning VoIP Phones and PBX configurations for optimal communication.
  • Management of CCTV Cameras & NVR.
  • Management of Cisco 3750 Switches.
  • LAN cable management.
  • Access Point Management and Configurations.
  • Ability to provide remote desktop support to US-based clients.

User Support:

  • Provide first-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets on time.
  • Assist users in setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, software, and hardware.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot network problems.
  • Microsoft Office 365 troubleshooting and configurations.
  • Printers and Photocopiers troubleshooting.

Software and Hardware Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance on hardware components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software repairs and replacements.

Security:

  • Implement and enforce security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Secure the company’s digital realm with Firewall Management (Web Filtering, VPN configurations, WAN Configurations).
  • Educate end-users on security best practices and conduct periodic security training sessions.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of IT policies and procedures.

Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with end-users and other departments to understand and address their IT needs.
