Position Overview:

As a Psychiatrist at eShaafi, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health disorders through our telehealth platform. You will provide expert psychiatric care, including medication management and treatment planning, while working collaboratively with psychologists and counselors to deliver comprehensive mental healthcare virtually.

Key Responsibilities

• Psychiatric Evaluation & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments to diagnose a range of mental health conditions.
• Medication Management: Prescribe and manage appropriate psychotropic medications with regular monitoring of efficacy and side effects.
• Treatment Planning: Design and implement personalized treatment plans in coordination with the broader care team.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide timely psychiatric support for patients experiencing acute mental health crises.
• Continuity of Care: Offer follow-up consultations to track patient progress and modify treatment strategies when necessary.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant electronic medical records as per regulatory standards.

Key Qualifications

• Educational Background: Medical degree with specialization in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
• Licensure: Valid and active license to practice psychiatry and prescribe medication within the relevant jurisdiction.
• Telehealth Experience: Previous experience in telepsychiatry or digital mental health is preferred but not mandatory.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Urdu, with an empathetic, patient-focused approach.
• Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using digital health platforms, electronic medical records, and virtual consultation tools.
• Ethical Practice: Commitment to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and collaborative care.
