Job Summary:
The Senior Solar Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales growth by providing technical expertise and support to our sales team and customers. You will interact with clients, assess their needs, and craft customized solar solutions that meet their requirements. This position demands strong technical knowledge in solar energy, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and support in the sales process for solar energy solutions.
- Conduct site assessments and evaluations to gather data and recommend appropriate solar solutions.
- Design and develop solar system proposals, including detailed engineering drawings and financial analyses.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to identify client needs and present tailored solar solutions.
- Providing customers with quotes, sales orders, shipping information, and tax credit information.
- Stay up-to-date with solar industry trends, technologies, and best practices to inform sales strategies.
- Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Deliver technical presentations and trainings to clients and internal teams.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and seek new business opportunities in the solar market.
- Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts, budgets, and reports.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Experience in the Solar Industry:
- We require candidates to have a proven background in solar sales or a related field. This includes familiarity with solar products, financing options, and installation processes.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the solar sales industry is mandatory.
- Proven experience in the sales process, with a strong understanding of solar technologies and energy solutions.
- Familiarity with solar design software and project management tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
