Introduction

Responsibilities You will be responsible to:

• conduct clinical reviews of patients alongside staff, serving as a resource person to devise strategies for staff management and competency development to enhance patient care outcomes
• conduct teaching activities related to clinical care, staff development, and assist in patient care management daily, including staff performance evaluations
• ensure competency development while evaluating nursing staff performance
• monitor nursing staff skills to identify gaps in theory and its application in practice and mentor nursing staff with an aim to improve their performance
• ensure timely updating of credentials, participating in establishing care standards with unit staff, and monitor care delivery according to established standards.
• monitor and facilitate clinical outcomes of patients; develop and monitor clinical indicators
• develop specialty-based courses and educational material, review clinical care processes and guidelines of assigned areas
• participate in quality assurance activities, including to conduct audits and carry out performance evaluations of departmental processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Requirements You should have:

• a BScN or Post-RN BScN degree from an accredited school, preferably with a MScN or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines and a valid license from the Pakistan Nursing Council
• at least six years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years in clinical teaching role at a tertiary care hospital
• expertise in teaching and learning, developing educational plans, conducting independent courses, and implementing in-service sessions
• valid certification in Basic Life Support Provider/ Instructor, ACLS/PALS/NRP Instructor, Clinical Simulation Educators Programme etc.
• demonstrated specialty/advanced practice clinical expertise in caring for diverse patient populations.
• proven track record of clinical competence, effective leadership, excellent teaching and coaching skills
• ability to supervise clinical aspects and evaluate nursing staff performance
• sound knowledge and skills of problem-solving and crisis management.
• excellent interpersonal, particularly communication skills and ability to present complex ideas in simpler and meaningful form
• willingness to work in shift duties as required.
