This Job is with Elwood Technologies, an international startup. The role is fully remote, with UK working hours (i.e. 2pm - 10pm Pakistan time).

We're hiring a Backend Engineer (Trading APIs) to design and build integrations between our institutional trading platform and global crypto exchanges, OTC desks, and brokers. Youll be working with high‑performance systems, writing APIs in Golang, and helping scale a real‑time, low‑latency architecture that connects to dozens of venues. This is a senior hands‑on role that will directly impact trade execution reliability and market access.

• Build and maintain performant APIs and connectivity modules to external venues (REST, WebSocket, FIX).
• Develop high‑quality, low‑latency integrations for order routing, trade execution, and data ingestion.
• Monitor and support venue connections and real‑time data pipelines.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to support exchange onboarding and new product launches.
• Contribute to system reliability and observability with proper logging, monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Develop comprehensive automated tests for production readiness.

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on backend or connectivity engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Golang is critical.
• Experience integrating with crypto or financial trading venues (CeFi or DeFi).
• Familiarity with WebSocket, REST, and FIX APIs.
• Background in high‑performance distributed systems.
• Knowledge of cloud‑native development (AWS/GCP), Docker, CI/CD.

• Experience in low‑latency trading systems or crypto market makers.
• Prior work on Execution or Portfolio Management Systems.
• Familiarity with performance testing and debugging distributed environments.
• Exposure to DeFi protocols or streaming data infrastructure.
