Summary
The R&D Manager will lead product innovation for MDF, particleboard, and laminate categories by developing new designs aligned with global trends.They will enhance existing product lines, improve manufacturing efficiency, and drive sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development, prototyping, and testing of new MDF, particleboard, and laminate designs.
- Optimize existing product lines through competitor benchmarking and market demand analysis.
- Improve manufacturing processes for better quality, efficiency, and sustainability (E1 standards).
- Conduct research on global design trends to build R&D roadmaps.
- Develop product presentation materials (catalogues, sample kits, Design Studio displays).
- Manage R&D team, budgets, and collaborate with Marketing and Design teams.
- Act as the technical expert in meetings with architects, designers, developers, and large manufacturers.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors/Masters in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Design, or Business Administration (Masters preferred).
- 5-7 years of R&D/Product Development experience in Building Materials, Laminates, Chemicals, or Furniture Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of MDF/particleboard processes, laminate formulation, and design/colour trends.
- Strong research, analytical, and documentation skills.
