Director of Cybersecurity Operations (MSSP Experience Required)

Position Overview

Were seeking a seasoned cybersecurity leader who has experience building or scaling an MSSP (Managed Security Services Provider) operation serving U.S.-based clients. The ideal candidate has worked in a senior operational or engineering role within a U.S. MSSP, understands client expectations around SOC operations, EDR/XDR, SIEM, and security frameworks like NIST or HIPAA, and can lead both strategy and execution from Pakistan.

This is a critical, high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the executive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing security operations team (SOC analysts, threat hunters, EDR admins, etc.) in Lahore.
• Develop, implement, and manage SOC-as-a-Service and MDR capabilities tailored for healthcare clients.
• Own and refine internal playbooks, processes, SOPs, and client engagement models aligned with U.S. MSSP standards.
• Serve as a technical and operational bridge between Pakistan and the U.S.-based executive team and clients.
• Oversee deployment and tuning of security tools including SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, etc.
• Work closely with compliance teams to ensure alignment with HIPAA, HITECH, NIST CSF, and other standards.
• Mentor and upskill junior talent to create long-term operational scalability and leadership succession.

Required Qualifications

• 7-10+ years in cybersecurity, with 3+ years in a leadership role at a U.S.-based MSSP or SOC.
• Proven track record building or running MSSP or SOC operations for U.S. clients.
• Deep hands-on experience with security tools and platforms such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Microsoft Defender, Rapid7, etc.
• Experience with incident response, threat hunting, and security automation.
• Solid understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements in healthcare (HIPAA, HITECH).
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience managing offshore security teams or establishing delivery centers in Pakistan.
• U.S. client-facing experience or exposure to compliance-heavy environments.
• Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CEH, CHFI, GCIA, GCIH, etc.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related technical field.
