Art Teacher

Job Purpose:

To introduce and nurture artistic skills, creativity, and self-expression in young students through structured visual arts lessons. The teacher will guide students in developing fine motor skills, creativity, and an appreciation for art.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging art lessons tailored to primary-grade students (classes 1-5).
• Teach basic art concepts including drawing, coloring, painting, shapes, patterns, and simple crafts.
• Encourage creativity, imagination, and expression in students.
• Provide step-by-step guidance in using different art materials (crayons, watercolors, paper, etc.).
• Organize art displays and exhibitions to showcase student artwork within the school.
• Support class teachers with visual learning materials and classroom decoration.
• Maintain art supplies inventory and ensure proper care and safety of materials.
• Adapt teaching methods based on students age, skill level, and learning needs.
• Promote values such as patience, focus, and confidence through artistic activities.
• Support co-curricular and cultural programs involving art and decoration.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts or related field
• Teacher training (B.Ed) is preferred but not mandatory
• Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience teaching art to children is preferred
• Skills & Traits:
• Strong artistic and creative skills
• Patience and love for working with young children
• Ability to plan age-appropriate art activities
• Good communication and classroom management skills
• Knowledge of traditional and contemporary art styles is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
