Billing Director

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Billing to lead our billing department. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire billing process, ensuring accuracy in revenue cycle management, and enhancing the efficiency of accounts receivable operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of corporate accounting practices, with the ability to negotiate effectively and maintain excellent phone etiquette.

Duties

• Manage the billing departments daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
• Oversee revenue cycle management processes to optimize cash flow and minimize discrepancies.
• Conduct credit analysis and account analysis to assess customer creditworthiness and payment history.
• Negotiate payment terms with clients to facilitate timely collections.
• Supervise accounts receivable activities, including monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on overdue accounts.
• Utilize accounting software such as Quicken for efficient financial tracking and reporting.
• Maintain meticulous records of all billing transactions and communications.
• Train and mentor billing staff on best practices in corporate accounting and customer service.
• Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the billing department.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in revenue cycle management, corporate accounting, or a related field.
• Strong skills in credit analysis, account analysis, and negotiation techniques.
• Proficiency in accounts receivable processes with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective client interactions.
• Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Quicken, is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret financial data effectively.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must have 3 or years of Managerial experience.
• Must have 8 or more years of Billing experience.
