The Division: Harris CareTracker Software as a Service (SaaS) platform enables Harris to continue its expansion into the US healthcare information technology ("HCIT") market. CareTracker is a provider of practice management solutions for physician practices in the United States. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) to join our product team. As a BA, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our Electronic Health Record (EHR) & Practice Management software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and clinical stakeholders, to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Your efforts will directly contribute to building innovative features and improving user experiences in the healthcare technology space. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, clinical users, and other stakeholders to gather and define business requirements for new features, enhancements, and integrations related to the EHR & Practice Management software.
  • Document and prioritize business requirements, user stories, and use cases.
  • Perform gap analysis between current and desired state, identifying areas for improvement or new functionality.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders (such as healthcare providers, administrators, and users) and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on requirements.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends to ensure the product remains aligned with industry standards.
  • Track and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and assisting in the resolution of any issues or roadblocks.
  • Participate in product roadmap planning and strategy discussions, offering input based on user feedback and market analysis.
Requirements: Education & Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the US healthcare/EHR software industry.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) & Practice Management systems, clinical workflows, and industry standards.
  • Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and creating user stories.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Exposure to product lifecycle management and working within cross-functional teams.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms for business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and emerging technologies in EHR & Practice Management solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with EHR & Practice Management software platforms.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7, CDA, and FHIR.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work 8 AM - 4:30 PM EST time
