JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES: Medical protocols: Topmost priority in your job responsibility will be compliance to medical protocols and clinical guidelines. Sign offs: To ensure optimum care of all patients attending the Emergency Department including triage/ fast track, resuscitation, bedside observations in their diagnosis, initial treatment and safe disposal. Conduct bedside rounds of patients with your sign off on each patient of P1&P2 in the areas being managed by the emergency department as per PALS guidelines. Academics, Patient Safety & Research: Participate in the Mortality and Morbidity meetings is mandatory and part of your KPI Weekly CME quiz participation Bedside rounds as per PALS guidelines Case review of preventable deaths and unplanned revisits with your Physician Incharge To keep an eye on monthly compliance of medical protocols Participation in Research activities. Quality initiatives: He / She will support strategic planning for any area of improvement in clinical practices being followed in Emergency Department. For any initiative, first discuss it with your supervisor (Physician incharge or Consultant incharge of your unit) Support: He / She will help in developing protocols and SOPs of clinical practices whenever there will be a need of it. Consultant Director Clinical Affairs CONSULTANT CLF-CA-JD-02 Page 2 of 3 Issue no: 01 Issue Date: Apr-1, 2019 Relationships: As a member of the Emergency Department, the Consultant will be required to develop strong working relationships with the Emergency Department Nursing and Administrative Staff, and other Allied Health Staff including faculty of public sector hospitals where ChildLife Foundation is supporting their pediatric emergency department. Disciplines: 1. Attendance in time: You should be in time during your calls. There will be a grace time of 15 minutes for your official duty time to report. Three times late arrivals will impact your leaves. 2. During your calls on ground in ER, you should be either in scrubs or with lab coat or both and you should have your own torch and stethoscope to examine a patient. Mobile torch will be discouraged to assess a patient. 3. All personal protective equipment (PPE) decided by the organization as a policy is mandatory to wear during on call. Strict disciplinary action can be taken by the organization on its non- compliance. 4. Hand hygiene compliances should be strictly followed as per WHO standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs180,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
