Consultant Test Automation

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Automation Engineer with over 3 years of expertise in quality assurance and test automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software testing, the ability to design and implement effective test strategies, and a proactive approach to ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, drive automation initiatives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for comprehensive test coverage.
  • Create detailed, structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Lead the implementation of automated testing frameworks and strategies.
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman and other API testing utilities.
  • Carry out regression testing to ensure defect resolution.
  • Proactively identify, document, and track bugs, collaborating with developers for quick resolution.
  • Analyze SQL queries and generate insightful reports to support testing processes.
  • Participate in product design reviews to ensure functional requirements are met.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Track and report key quality metrics, such as defect density and open defect leakage.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation and quality assurance.
  • Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficient in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or related languages.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and modern testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
  • Hands-on experience in testing APIs and analyzing SQL queries.
  • Proven ability to test mobile applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Knowledge of Banking and Finance domains is a plus.
