JS Bank is Hiring: Senior Database Administrator (SQL Server)

Department:IT Production Support & Database Services

Location:On-site, Karachi, Pakistan

JS Bank is looking for aSenior SQL Database Administratorto manage, optimize, and secure our Microsoft SQL Server environments. This role ensureshigh availability, performance, and compliance, supporting critical IT systems across the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances (2019–2022) across Production, UAT, and DR environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain SQL Always On Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Administer Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) and ensure cluster health.
• Optimize queries, stored procedures, and database schemas for performance.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with developers on database design, ETL processes, and integrations (SSIS, SSRS).
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience: 6–8 years in SQL Server administration, including 3 years in a financial institution .
• Expert-level T-SQL skills and performance tuning expertise.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Always On, WSFC, backups, DR, and security .
• Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, SSD, CSV, SMB) and networking fundamentals.
