COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our client, a Karachi-based, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI), seeks to appoint an experienced professional for the following role:

Job Role

As the BI Analyst you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and transforming data into actionable insights to support business and technology strategies. The incumbent will collaborate with business teams to ensure data-driven decision-making, system integration, and effective reporting frameworks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Reporting-Develop, automate, and maintain BI dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. Analyse large datasets to identify key trends, performance metrics, and actionable insights. Support management and business units with data-driven reporting and visualization
• Data Integration & Management- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth data flow across applications and databases. Design and implement ETL processes and data pipelines for analytics and reporting. Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and reliability across systems
• System Development & Support- Participate in the design and enhancement of BI systems and data warehouses. Provide technical support for BI platforms and troubleshoot data-related issues. Document BI processes, workflows, and data structures for internal reference
• Data Governance & Compliance- Implement data governance practices in line with company and SBP regulatory standards. Ensure data security, privacy, and access controls are effectively managed. Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to maintain data integrity and audit readiness
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Finance, and Operations to meet analytical needs. Recommend process improvements based on analytical findings and system performance. Stay updated with emerging BI technologies and best practices

Education

• Minimum 16 years of education, preferably, Masters from a renowned and HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder institution, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a tech startup, fintech, or digital-first organization with at least 1-2 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position
• Experience in a bank, EMI, fintech, or regulated financial institution growth functions is preferred

Requirements

• Develop, automate, and maintain BI dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless data integration across systems and databases
• Design and implement data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Finance, Risk, and Compliance) to deliver analytical insights
• Provide technical support and documentation for BI tools and data processes
• Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, and data integration tools will be an advantage

Age

• The candidate should preferably be not more than 33 years of age as of last date of submission of application.
