Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager - Talent Acquisition to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of progressive recruitment experience, with a strong background in hiring for engineering roles, especially in the civil and construction domains. This role demands a strategic thinker who can drive end-to-end recruitment, strengthen our employer brand, and help shape the future workforce of Value Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning and job requisition to sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Partner with department heads, particularly Engineering and Project teams, to understand manpower requirements and create effective hiring strategies.
- Source and attract high-quality candidates through a variety of channels including job boards, LinkedIn, internal referrals, campus outreach, and headhunting.
- Specialize in identifying and recruiting civil engineers and technical professionals who align with the organizations values, culture, and growth objectives.
- Drive proactive talent pipelining to reduce time-to-fill for key technical positions.
- Conduct structured interviews, behavioral assessments, and competency-based evaluations.
- Ensure a seamless candidate experience and strong employer branding throughout the recruitment process.
- Analyze hiring metrics and recruitment dashboards to optimize performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay current with industry hiring trends, salary benchmarks, and best practices in talent acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local labor laws, and data protection regulations during recruitment processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. MBA/MHRM preferred.
- 6-8 years of relevant talent acquisition experience in a fast-paced, project-based or engineering-driven organization.
- Proven expertise in recruiting civil engineers and technical roles is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and digital sourcing tools.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- A passion for talent, culture, and building future-ready teams.
