Mechanical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fuel system projects, strong fabrication knowledge, and a deep understanding of material standards, welding techniques, and safety regulations related to fuel handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and supervise the fabrication of fuel tanks, ensuring compliance with relevant codes (e.g., API, ASME standards).
• Develop and review engineering drawings and specifications for fuel tank structures and piping layouts.
• Manage and oversee installation of fuel tanks and related piping systems on-site.
• Ensure correct selection of materials, valves, flanges, pumps, and fittings suitable for fuel applications.
• Coordinate with fabricators, welders, and site contractors to ensure quality workmanship.
• Conduct inspections, pressure testing, and quality control checks for tanks and piping.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during fabrication and installation phases.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, especially regarding flammable materials.
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and "as-built" drawings upon project completion.
• Collaborate with procurement teams for material sourcing and vendor evaluation.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in fuel tank fabrication, installation, and piping projects.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes including welding, cutting, and assembly.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as API 650, API 620, ASME B31.3 and other relevant codes.
• Hands-on experience with piping design, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software is a plus.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.

Preferred:

• Certification in welding inspection (CSWIP, AWS-CWI) or piping inspection is an added advantage.
• Experience with fuel handling facilities such as petrol pumps, generator tanks, industrial storage systems, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs60,000.00 per month
